1. Earthen-walled daylight greenhouse
Suitable for: anti-seasonal cultivation of high value vegetables and other crops.

2. Brick wall greenhouse greenhouse
Application: vegetable, edible fungus, flower and fruit tree cultivation.
Specification: The span of brick-walled solar greenhouses is 8-16 metres, the wall structure is red brick or concrete foam brick masonry, the thickness of the wall is generally 0.37-1 metres, other structures are basically the same as that of earth-walled solar greenhouses, all of which are composed of a full steel skeleton, covering film, insulation quilts and rolling shutters.
Advantages: the brick wall structure is strong and durable, with a service life of 20-25 years; it has a high land utilisation rate and a strong regional applicability, especially suitable for the construction of areas with complex geology, a low water table and the inability to build earth walls.
Disadvantages: due to the use of brick wall structure, greenhouse cost is higher than the soil wall solar greenhouse, the return on investment period is longer.
3. New type of daylight greenhouse
Application: Used for scientific research experiments, breeding seedlings, exhibitions and other high value-added industries.
Specification: The overall structure is the same as that of traditional daylight greenhouses, with a span of up to 15 metres or more. The wall is made of masonry and then reinforced with cement mortar; the skeleton of the greenhouse is made of hot-dip galvanised rectangular pipes with card springs and grooves, and the rest is the same as that of the earthen walled greenhouse.
Advantages: the walls are reinforced with cement mortar, which reduces the risk of collapse and increases durability and service life by more than 5-10 years; the film on the shed surface is fixed by means of a spring slot, which makes it more convenient to replace the film later; the span is large and spacious, and advanced equipment such as mobile seedbeds and mobile sprinkler irrigation can be configured.
Disadvantages: the wall covers a large area, the cost is higher, reducing the cost performance of the solar greenhouse .
A comprehensive comparison of the three types of solar greenhouses shows that the cost of earth wall solar greenhouses is lower, and the later use of maintenance costs are lower, is the most cost-effective of the three types of solar greenhouses. For places where land is plentiful, earth-walled solar greenhouses can be preferred for construction.
